brushed cotton rental | stand & exhibition | event solutions

Dressing a partition, concealing a structure or creating a plain stage backdrop in a matter of hours: that is the role of brushed cotton hire, the flagship textile of stand fit-out and event set design. Solutions Événements offers it by the linear metre or as a full roll, in white, black and red, in two weights depending on the opacity you need.

Two weights, three colours, cut to length or by the roll

Brushed cotton is a lightly napped cotton fabric, fire-rated, that stretches without creases and absorbs light rather than reflecting it: photographers and videographers value it for exactly this reason.

- The white brushed cotton 140 g cut to length is our most versatile reference, from €11.78 excl. VAT per linear metre: perfect for dressing a conference backdrop or a stand partition.

- The black brushed cotton 140 g creates backstage areas, hides a control desk or darkens a projection space.

- The 165 g versions, white and black, heavier and more opaque, hang better over great heights and block light effectively.

- Red brushed cotton, available as a 140 g roll or a 165 g roll, brings warmth to a gala stage or a festive season decor.

Full rolls are recommended as soon as you are dressing several dozen metres.

Where and how to use it

At a trade show, brushed cotton stretched over the modular partitions of the stand offers a uniform surface on which to fix visuals, screens and logos. At a seminar or convention, a black backdrop showcases the speakers and brings out the stage lighting; in white, it becomes a back-up projection screen or a surface for mapping. Organisers of fashion shows and photo shoots roll it out across floor and wall to create a continuous cyclorama. For a wedding or an evening event in a room with dated decor, it hides walls, radiators and openings in a single afternoon. Combine it with carpet in the same shade for an immersive, single-colour space.

Cutting, delivery, installation

We cut the brushed cotton to the exact length you specify, on standard-width rolls, and deliver it rolled to avoid creasing. Rates apply for a 1 to 3-day rental period; longer events benefit from a decreasing rate for longer periods. Our teams can handle installation on structures, partitions or pipe and drape, as well as taking it down and clearing it away at the end of the event. Like carpet, cut brushed cotton is a consumable that is not put back into circulation. Collection from our warehouse with our Drive (pick-up) service is ideal for decorators and stand builders who do their own installation. Send us your measurements and you will receive a quote the same day.

What is the difference between 140 g and 165 g?

The 140 g is lighter, more economical and sufficient for dressing stand partitions or low-height backdrops. The 165 g, denser, is recommended for great heights, lit stage backdrops and whenever light needs to be blocked out.

How do I estimate the length I need?

Measure the total length of the surfaces to be covered and add around 10% for returns and overlaps. The roll width generally covers the height of a standard stand partition; for greater heights, plan to hang it in horizontal or vertical drops.

Does brushed cotton comply with fire regulations for trade shows?

Yes, it is fire-rated M1, which meets the requirements of exhibition centres and venues open to the public. The classification report can be attached to your safety file.

Can brushed cotton be stapled or glued?

It can be stapled to wood, fixed with double-sided tape on melamine partitions and draped over pipe and drape with clamps. As the fabric is a consumable, there is no obligation to return it.
