Outdoor Stage Rental for Festivals

Outdoor stage rental lets you set up a stable, highly visible performance area for events held in the open air. Concerts, festivals, municipal events, retail promotions or ceremonies all require a reliable platform capable of hosting speakers, performers and technical equipment.

The modular stages used for events can be installed indoors as well as outdoors, provided the ground is level, stable and load-bearing. The structure is made up of professional stage decks assembled to create a stage platform perfectly suited to the layout of the venue and the number of people on stage.

Stage formats frequently used outdoors

- 8 m² stage for speeches or retail promotions

- 12 m² stage for conferences and awards ceremonies

- 18 m² stage for entertainment sets or shows

- 24 m² stage for concerts, shows or public events

These stages are made up of aluminium stage deck modules assembled to form a uniform, hard-wearing platform.

Technical constraints for an outdoor stage

Installing a stage outdoors means taking several technical parameters into account to guarantee the safety and stability of the structure:

- perfectly level, stable ground

- dimensions suited to the number of people on stage and the equipment

- securing the stage edges when the height is significant

When the stage is raised, adding stage guardrails secures the exposed areas and prevents the risk of falls.

Professional installation by our team

Setting up an outdoor stage calls for specific technical expertise to guarantee a stable, secure installation perfectly suited to the event venue. Our specialist teams handle the set-up and dismantling of the stages directly on site, taking into account the constraints of the terrain, the layout of the space and the safety requirements.

Thanks to our dedicated logistics, our teams can work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to install stages for professional events, festivals, concerts or public gatherings. We operate throughout France to support organisers in setting up their stage infrastructure.

Complementary equipment for an outdoor stage

Creating a complete stage installation may require several additional items of equipment to make the most of the stage:

- stages and risers to form the main platform

- stage decks used to build the modular structure

- stage steps and ramps for easier access for speakers and performers

- stage guardrails to secure the platform edges

- curtains and stage backdrops to structure the stage design

Technical support for your events

Beyond stage rental, Solutions Événements supports organisers in the complete set-up of their technical infrastructure. Our teams can supply and install all the equipment needed for the success of your event: event furniture, sound system, video, lighting, technical control and stage design.

This global approach makes it possible to design a coherent, perfectly controlled event installation, equally suited to conferences, concerts, festivals or corporate events.

What size of outdoor stage should you plan according to the number of performers?
Allow around 2 m² per musician or standing speaker, and 3 m² as soon as there are instruments or furniture. A 12 m² stage comfortably accommodates a trio or a panel of four people, while a six-piece band with drums will feel at ease on 24 m². For a particular shape or a very constrained space, the made-to-measure stage is charged per m²: from €15 excl. VAT bare or €32 excl. VAT dressed.

What budget should you plan for an outdoor stage?
An 8 m² bare stage (40 cm high) is available from €115 excl. VAT, and the dressed version with skirts and carpet from €230.50 excl. VAT. For 24 m², allow €295 excl. VAT for the bare version and €625 excl. VAT for the dressed version at 60 cm high. These prices do not include delivery or set-up, which depend on site access and distance.

Does the stage withstand rain and wind?
The aluminium stage decks and their technical flooring withstand rain without damage, but the top becomes slippery: a carpet or a non-slip mat is recommended for performers. In the wind, the stage itself remains stable thanks to its weight and its connectors, but any backdrop or vertical decor must be weighted down or removed if gusts are forecast. We also advise planning a tarpaulin or a stage tent if the programme runs for several hours.

What if the ground is not perfectly flat?
On a lawn or slightly uneven paving, we compensate for the differences with shims and adjustable telescopic legs to obtain a perfectly horizontal top. Beyond a few centimetres of slope, you need to consider a variable-height stage or change the location. A photo of the site and, if possible, a technical visit beforehand make it possible to anticipate these constraints.

What access should you plan for the public and the performers?
A 40 cm high stage can be climbed with a simple step, but from 60 cm you need a staircase, ideally two (one entrance and one exit). If people with reduced mobility need to get on stage, a compliant access ramp is essential. You will find this equipment in the stage steps and ramps section.
