What is the difference between the Easydrape curtain and the Easybuild curtain?
The Easydrape curtain - Pipe and drape is a system of telescopic tubes on weighted bases, adjustable in height and width: it is set up in a few minutes without any fixing to the floor or ceiling and is available from €490 excl. VAT. The Easybuild stage curtain, from €300 excl. VAT, relies on a more rigid aluminium structure, suited to very wide stages or rooms prone to draughts.
What size of backdrop for a 24 m² stage?
For a 6 x 4 m stage, a backdrop 8 m wide and 3 m high extends one metre beyond each side and hides the wings, while remaining well proportioned. On a 12 m² stage or a conference riser, a 6 x 2 m backdrop is sufficient. The Wood, Mountain and Foliage designs are available in the 8 x 3 m format.
How do I supply my artwork for a personalised backdrop?
Send us a vector file or a high-definition PDF at actual size, with 5 cm of bleed and the logos positioned outside the bottom 30 cm, which are often hidden by the lectern or the furniture. We send you a proof for approval before printing. Allow at least one week between approval of the proof and the event.
Can the backdrop be used several times?
Yes, the printed canvases can be taken down, rolled up and stored to be put up again at another event, which makes personalisation cost-effective from the second use onwards. Patterned backdrops, such as the Foliage Stage Backdrop, can be hired individually for a themed evening without any graphic design investment.
Is specific lighting needed to show off the backdrop?
A black curtain absorbs light and focuses attention on the speakers, whereas a printed backdrop calls for two LED spotlights, either overhead or at a grazing angle, to avoid shadows cast by the lectern. Our technical teams can supply and adjust the lighting in addition to the items presented in the Stage category.
