xlr audio cabling rental | solutions événements | paris
Connect your microphones, your mixing desk and your speakers without the slightest hiss: XLR cabling rental is the foundation of any serious event sound system. The three-pin XLR connector carries a balanced audio signal, immune to electromagnetic interference from spotlights and power supplies. That is why it is found on conference microphones, mixing desks and active speakers, from a simple speaker's lectern to an open-air concert.
XLR cables and audio kits: the available lengths
The range covers every distance on a stage. The XLR/XLR audio cable - 1m links a mixing desk to its recorder or to a DI box, from €1 excl. VAT. The 3 m and 5 m models handle connections between microphones and stage box, while the XLR/XLR audio cable - 10m and the XLR/XLR audio cable - 20m (from €3.50 excl. VAT) cross a room to reach the control desk or a fill speaker. Connections to a computer, a player or an instrument run through the 6.35mm JACK M/F XLR cable or its M/M version. So that nothing gets forgotten, the XLR/AUDIO cabling kit gathers a complete assortment of cables, and the lighter XLR/AUDIO cabling kit 2 accompanies smaller set-ups.
Which cabling for which event?
An annual general meeting or a 100-person seminar generally calls for a lectern microphone, two handheld microphones and a pair of speakers: four 5 m cables and two 10 m cables are enough. A launch cocktail with an acoustic musician adds a jack/XLR for the guitar and a 3 m XLR for vocals. For a wedding with a humanist ceremony followed by dinner, allow generous lengths: the speakers often move away from the mixing desk when everyone heads to the reception room. A TV set or a gala evening with an orchestra quickly climbs to around twenty connections: the complete kit then becomes the simplest and most economical solution.
Delivery or pick-up: how the rental works
The cables arrive coiled, labelled by length and tested before every departure. Our technicians can lay all the cabling together with your sound system, secure the floor runs and dismantle everything after the event; this service includes reconditioning the cables on return. With our Drive service, you collect your order from the warehouse and leave with a ready-to-use case. Prices apply for a 1 to 3-day rental period, with a decreasing rate for longer periods, and a detailed quote is sent on simple request.

How many XLR cables do I need for a conference?
Allow one cable per microphone and one per speaker, then add two spare cables. For three microphones and two speakers, five cables of 5 to 10 m and two spares make a comfortable base.
Does a 20 m XLR cable degrade the sound?
No, that is the whole point of a balanced connection: the signal stays clean over several tens of metres, with no hiss or interference, even close to power cables.
Can I connect a computer to a mixing desk via XLR?
Yes, using the 6.35mm JACK M/M XLR cable or a DI box. We will recommend the right solution for your equipment at the quotation stage.
Are XLR cables suitable for DMX lighting?
Audio XLR cables can serve in a pinch for DMX control over short distances, but we recommend dedicated cabling for lighting installations. Tell us your requirements and we will point you in the right direction.
