Stage dressing transforms a technical structure into an attractive, professional stage space. Stage skirts and carpets improve the finish of a riser or a podium and contribute to the overall image of an event. At a conference, a product launch or a ceremony, stage dressing plays an important role in the stage design. It conceals the technical structure of the stage and delivers a clean, harmonious visual result.
Stage dressing elements
- stage skirts to conceal the legs and the structure
- stage carpets to improve the finish of the top
- fabric dressing to personalise the stage design
These elements deliver an attractive result suited to conferences, corporate events, fashion shows or ceremonies.
Materials that comply with safety standards
For events held in reception venues, congress centres or public spaces, the use of fire-retardant coverings is essential in order to comply with fire safety regulations.
The dressing elements used on our stages meet these requirements:
- B1 fire-rated stage skirts, suited to event installations
- BFL-S1 fire-rated stage carpet, compliant with the standards applicable to floor coverings
These materials provide attractive dressing while guaranteeing a level of safety appropriate for events open to the public.
Installation carried out by our team
Stage dressing is installed directly by the Solutions Événements teams to guarantee a perfectly taut, uniform result. Fitting stage skirts and carpet requires specific know-how to achieve a neat, professional finish. Our team makes sure every element is correctly adjusted to avoid creases, misalignments or visual imperfections. You therefore benefit from a perfectly dressed stage ready to host your event, with no surprises on the day.
Customising the stage
The dressing can be adapted to the visual identity of the event:
- a choice of different carpet colours on request
- specific fabric dressing
- integration of logos or signage
Dressing is generally used on an event stage or riser to create an elegant, professional stage space.
What height of stage skirt should you order?
The skirt must match the height of the stage exactly so that it neither drags on the floor nor leaves the legs showing: H20, H40, H60 or H80 cm depending on your platform. The most common models are the Black stage skirt H40 (per linear metre) and the Black stage skirt H60, from €8 excl. VAT per linear metre. If you are unsure, tell us the reference of the stage you have rented and we will select the right height.
How many linear metres of skirt do I need for my stage?
Add up the sides visible to the audience. A 4 x 3 m stage set against a wall requires 4 + 3 + 3 = 10 linear metres, whereas a round stage 4 m in diameter needs around 12.60 m. Always add a 10% margin for the overlaps at the corners.
Black skirt or white skirt: which should you choose?
Black absorbs light and makes the structure disappear, which makes it ideal for conferences, concerts and any event with stage lighting. White, from €12.50 excl. VAT per linear metre, suits weddings, fashion shows and light-toned stage designs, but it marks more easily: reserve it for clean, covered spaces only.
Can the skirt be bought by the roll rather than rented?
Yes, for agencies and venues that organise recurring events, we offer 60 m rolls in 20, 40, 60 or 80 cm heights, in black or white. The Stage skirt roll 40 cm x 60 m - Black is available from €385.44 excl. VAT. The fabric is B1 fire-rated, which means it can be used in venues open to the public.
What is the wooden shim kit for?
The Wooden shim kit compensates for small irregularities in the floor under the stage deck legs, so that the top is perfectly horizontal and the carpet and skirt hang straight. It is particularly useful on old parquet floors, paving or garden ground, and is available from €45 excl. VAT.
