It is in fact an HPL compact laminate, a dense, rigid panel that fears neither scratches from keys, nor wine stains, nor sunlight under a marquee. Where real marble cracks and calls for a team of porters, this one can be carried with one hand. The column and base in white aluminium extend the tone of the top, so the table forms a single monochrome volume that catches the lighting and diffuses it gently around your guests; beneath fairy lights or chandeliers, it glows without dazzling.
