rental stairs & ramps | event stage

Never let a speaker hesitate in front of a riser, or a stage manager carry a case at arm's length up to the stage. Stage stairs and ramp rental ensures safe, smooth and compliant access to every level of your installation: conference podium, concert stage, awards riser or equipment loading dock. Often relegated to the background, this equipment nevertheless determines the safety of people and the pace of the running order.

Modular stairs, steps and loading ramps

The stairs range follows the standard heights of our stage decks. The Modular stage stairs 60cm rents from €30 excl. VAT, while the 80, 100, 120 and 140 cm models are delivered with their handrail, like the Modular stage stairs 100cm + handrail from €80 excl. VAT. A Modular stage step 40cm is enough for a low riser, and the 3-step stairs offer a compact solution for a presentation podium. Handrails for stairs of 3-4 and 5-6 steps can be added from €20 excl. VAT to improve safety for older guests and those in evening wear. On the logistics side, the Pair of vehicle loading ramps, the short and long bridge loading ramps and the Loading and disabled access ramp ease the passage of flight cases, trolleys and wheelchairs.

Adapting access to the type of event

For a conference or a convention, plan a staircase on each side of the stage so that speakers go up one side and come down the other without crossing paths: the running order gains in fluidity. A graduation or trophy ceremony, where dozens of people file past, deserves handrails and a staircase with wide steps. At a fashion show or a live show, an access ramp is a far better option than stairs for models in heels and for rolling scenery. Finally, access for people with reduced mobility must be considered from the planning stage: a compliant ramp saves a lot of embarrassment on the day.

Rental terms and safety

Our fitters deliver the stairs and ramps together with the stage, fix them to the stage decks, check they are level and collect them at dismantling; cleaning is included. Self-sufficient organisers can opt for the Drive (pick-up) service and collect the equipment at our warehouse. Prices are for a 1 to 3-day rental period, with a decreasing rate for longer periods for tours, festivals and long-running trade shows. Send us the height of your stage and the number of access points you need: the quote comes back to you shortly.

To secure and dress your stage, complete these access solutions with our stage guardrails, our stage dressing solutions and our stage curtains and backdrops. The full offer, including stage decks, lecterns and outdoor stages, can be found in the Stage family.

Which stair height should I choose for my stage?

The height of the stairs must match exactly that of the finished stage floor. A stage mounted on 80 cm legs calls for 80 cm stairs; if you add flooring or thick carpet, let us know and we will adjust the model.

Is the handrail compulsory?

Above 60 cm in height, we systematically recommend a handrail or a guardrail, and our stairs of 80 cm and above come fitted with one as standard. For an event open to the public, an access ramp for people with reduced mobility is strongly advised.

Are the stairs compatible with stages from another supplier?

Our modular stairs are sized for our stage decks but work with most standard structures, provided the height matches. Send us the specifications of your stage and we will confirm compatibility before delivery.
