CONIC-O Black Table - Pembroke Top 150 cm - 8-10 pax

Blond wood and a black cone: the CONIC-O Black Table - Pembroke Top 150 cm - 8-10 pax is the "country bistro" version of a resolutely contemporary round table, for eight to ten guests seated in a circle.

There is something of village cafes and converted lofts at once in this combination. The 150 cm round top takes on the light wood look of the Pembroke, even, warm, with those blond tones reminiscent of farmhouse tables; beneath it, the matt black polypropylene conical base cuts a clean line, like a sculpture set at the centre of the table. The mix works in a converted barn as well as in a pop-up restaurant with an industrial decor.

The central base principle is what makes the Conic-O so pleasant: no legs at the corners, no knees in the way, eight to ten guests seated face to face at an equal distance. The polypropylene of the base is fully recyclable, indifferent to rain and sun alike, and the whole weighs only eight kilos; one person carries it, sets it on a lawn or under a tent, and washes it with a sponge the next day.

The Pembroke top calls for no tablecloth. A linen table runner, a few candles in tealight holders, an arrangement of wildflowers, and the table is set; it withstands glasses set down without coasters and wipes clean with a cloth. Around it, black Tolix chairs, rattan seats and Senlis benches extend the natural spirit; black chairs, on the contrary, underline the contrast with the cone.

Barn weddings, seminar dinners in a loft, brand brunches, open-air company parties, pop-up restaurants and festival meals adopt it by the dozen; the round shape keeps conversation flowing, and the wood tone is flattering in photographs, in broad daylight as by candlelight.

The same top sits on a white cone for a softer version; the all-black Conic-O takes restraint further, the Conic-O white with white top plays on brightness, and the 140 cm square format suits rectangular rooms. The Conic black armchair and the Conic Party high table with planter extend the collection.
